Striping Tape (Tutorial)
February 28, 2013This is a easy to do nail art design with endless possibilities! (It's so easy you can even do it with your non-writing hand - which is what I am doing in this tutorial)
What you'll need:
- Base Coat
- Top Coat
- 2 Different Colour Polishes
- Striping Tape
- Clipper/Scissors
Start by applying a base coat.
Then paint all your nails and let them completely dry.
Then place strips of tape across the nail in whatever direction/pattern you want, press them firmly onto the nail.
Once all tape is applied, paint a coat of a different colour polish (preferably a darker colour than the base colour - so it completely hides the first colour).
Then while the polish is still wet, pull of the tape.
Finish with top coat.
Products used:
- Base coat - Nail Envy by OPI
- Top coat - Good To Go by Essie
- Blue - Aquadelic by China Glaze
- Black - Onyx Black by Maybelline
- Cuiticle clippers (to cut the striping tape)
- A reel of striping tape (I purchased mine in a pack of 10 from eBay - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/260998121182?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649)
