I brought one of Essence's Out Of Space Stories polishes a few months ago, and now have 3 of the collection. Each one I've gotten I've loved more than the last. There are still so many that I don't have, and I really want to get some more of the collection.

1000 Light Years Away

Is a black polish, packed with different size silver, holographic glitter. This just screams 'space', the sparkly glitter against the black base looks like stars in a night sky. This polish is opaque in 2 coats. The larger glitter in the polish do make the polish dry a tad textured, so this is one you need top coat on.

Beem Me Up!

This is a fuchsia pink polish, with scattered holographic glitter. This is my favourite of the 3 that I own, it dries shiny and is opaque in 2 coats. While doesn't necessarily remind me of space, it is such a pretty shade. 

Outta Space Is The Place

This is a very pale pink (almost white), iridescent polish. With a colour-shifting, turquoise/green, shimmer. This can be opaque in 2 coats, but with my application I usually wear 3 thinner coats. This polish does dry slightly dull, but is beautiful with a glossy top coat (also looks pretty with a matte top coat).

There are a couple of new shades being added to this collection on the 19th. One of which is a stunning looking blue glitter, which I can't wait to get. I also am desperate to try Space Glam.

I have been waiting, what feels like a year for these polishes (only been a few weeks). I love the ocean, fish, basically anything aquatic to be honest. So when I saw these appear online, I almost melted. I brought 3 of 4, my closest Superdrug store didn't have Jellyfish in stock (but I am planning on adding that to my collection at some point too). 

Can I just start out by stating the obvious... the bottle caps on these are stunning. I said the same about Barry M's Candy Culture collection (video here), they should be making corresponding stamping plates to go with these collection, with designs from the bottles. I hope Barry M continues making collections with cute bottle designs like these. All of these polishes are colour-shifting shimmers.

Angelfish

This polish is a nude, pale pink, with a beautiful, silver shimmer. This feels like a very beach sand shade, which would make for a great subtle mani this summer. Would make a perfect base colour for a beach nail art design.

Butterflyfish

This is a beautiful blue polish, with an amazing pink shimmer. This shade is a great polish for an aquatic themed collection. The light blue is perfect for spring/summer and some mermaid themed nail art.

Pinktail

It isn't very often that my favourite from a polish collection isn't 'the blue one', but that's the case with this collection. Pinktail is my favourite, it's a salmon pink shade with a stunning gold shimmer (with hints of green in some light). A perfect summer polish that I have a feeling I'm going to be wearing a lot this summer.

I adore all of these shades, they are unique and perfect for spring/summer, and all look just as beautiful with a matte top coat as they do a glossy one.

I was recently sent a pot of magnetic nail powder from Born Pretty Store, I got the powder in shade number 5 (0.1g), but there are 6 colours and they are available in different amounts of powder. The powder is copper/bronze shade that colour-shifts towards a golden-green. 

The Born Pretty Store website has instructions for 2 different ways to apply the powder to your nails and, in the video below, I tried the powder in both ways. The instructions state to use the powder over cured gel nail polish, but I don't use gel polishes, so I am applying the powder over 2 coats of Black Forest by Barry M with a layer of Good To Go top coat by Essie.

The first way to use the powder, is to just pick up some on the eyeshadow brush (that comes included with the powder), and buff it onto a black nail. This creates a duo-chrome finish across the entire nail. 

The other way to use the powder is by mixing some of the powder into clear polish (or top coat/base coat), applying it over a black base, and before letting it dry, hold a magnet over the nail to create an interest effect in the polish. I used the magnet that came with a Barry M polish I have (you can buy specific magnets from the Born Pretty Store, but any magnet should work). I understood with this method why if would have been better to apply the powder mixed into a clear gel polish, because I did find that the polish dried a bit too fast before I could get the magnet onto it, which means no pattern will appear... I managed to fix this by adding another clear coat over the powder whilst it was on my nail, and that seemed to work great. 

I think this powder is super fun, it looks great just as a chrome finish buffed on the nail, but the fact that it's magnetic means you could create some really fun and interesting design using it.

Nails Inc

I have been obsessed with Nails Inc's Sparkle Like A Unicorn duo for the last month (you can read my swatch & review here) and I recently saw on their Instagram that they have just launched 2 new duos: Self-Made Mermaid and Champagne Shine.

Both are similar to the Sparkle Like A Unicorn duo, one is an iridescent shimmer, while the other is a glitter, and duo chrome.

These both look absolutely STUNNING, and I need them!! The polishes in the duo duos look like they go well with their duo counterpart. I can't afford to buy them right now so for now I will just pine over other people's swatches online.

Essence

Essence have sooooo many beautiful new products launching and about to launch. I was scrolling through their international website's 'new products' section and everything I saw I wanted. They have so many new make-up products coming soon too, but I am only going to focus on the nail products I want to try in this post.

How freaking cute is the packaging on these polishes!! So adorable, these appear to be a trio of polishes and go were the rest of the products in the 'Wood You Love Me?' collection. Essence's international website have them listed as 'new' so they are out now. The polishes for left-right are called: Sweet Kisses, Crazy In Love and Soulmate. PERFECT for Valentine's Day.

New shades in Essence's 'The Gel' polish line. All of the colours look beautiful and the design on those bottles in adorable. They are listed in the 'new products' section of Essence's website, but the polishes on't appear to have names on there yet. It lists these as launching 19/02.

Over the last few days I have been seeing people on Instagram using the new Stamp It products from Essence (listed to release 19/02) and I NEED them in my life. I have gotten so obsessed with nail stamping recently and the fact that Essence are releasing new plates and a stamper makes me so happy. There are 2 plates launching to begin with, and I hope they release lots more. I can't wait to try these, if I get them I will 100% be posting a swatch/review/demo on these. (PLUS, urm, there is a llama on one of the plates, I freaking LOVE llamas, I am in love with that plate already just because I know it has a llama).

As I have been obsessed with nail stamping recently, I was super excited when I was sent a stamping polish to try from Born Pretty Store. I choose the shade Moonlit (obviously, because it's blue). 

I decided to swatch this polish first, before testing it for stamping. The polish was basically opaque on the first coat, but I decided to apply a second anyway. The shade is a beautiful metallic turquoise blue, that colour-shifts towards more of a green tone. The polish looks great with gloss or matte top coat.

I wanted to test this polish for stamping over both black and white. I started with white, using Moyou London's Tourist 21 plate. 

The polish worked great, it is very pigmented and stamping fully opaque designs. 

I then tested the polish stamped over a black base, using Moyou London's Scandi 09 plate. Although I liked the look of the polish over white, I much prefer it stamped over black. The contrast between the design and the base is stunning. 

I was able to pick up and apply the stamped designs perfectly and for only £3.52, these polishes are great if you are looking for pigmented stamping polishes at a cheap price. The full 'Universe Series' collection has 5 different shades.
