Barry M have recently release four new nail polishes, two exclusive to Superdrug and two exclusive to Boots. These duochrome polishes are very galaxy/space esque. Each of these polishes are £3.99 at there corresponding store. 

Superdrug Polishes: 

Purple Hex

A purple polish with blue shimmer, very sheer/tranlusent coverage on first coat, better coverage after two coats but ideally needs three coats, applies better on top of a dark polish like a creme black. This is the polish from the collection with the most duo tone to it. This is my favourite of the four.

Copper Dreams

A bronze/copper polish, this is the least 'duo' of all four polishes, in the bottle it shows a greeny colour but on the nail it doesn't show a lot. This is still a lovely copper metallic polish though. Is the most opaque of them all, only needs 2 thin coats.

Boots Polishes: 

Galaxy Green

The sheerest of all four polishes, passable with 3-4 coats, but works great over a black polish. A unique green polish, with hints of purple/maroon/bronze to it. It is a really difficult polish to explain, and I love it because it is completely unlike anything else in my nail polish collection. A great Halloween polish.

Mystic Purple 

I lovely bright purple, with a greeny/golden shimmer in some lighting. Very easy to apply and only needs 2 coats. 

The polishes are great for this time of year, purple and green colours for Halloween and glittery polishes are always a perfect choice for the ending months of the year.

I absolutely love this time of year, and autumn and winter nail polish colours are my favourite. This is a list of my favourite nail polishes that I plan on wearing a lot during autumn and winter this year.

1. Jeans On - Essence

I LOVE this colour, it's beautiful. I have been wearing this so much since I got it about a month ago. It is a cool tone grey-blue, a perfect winter colour. It's pretty much opaque in 1 coat, but I usually do 2 anyway, dries super fast and lasts quite well when combined with Essence's The Gel top and base coats. 

2. Sprint Finish - Barry M

This is a beautiful deep maroony red. A lovely dark colour that just screams autumn too me. As it's part of Barry M's speedy range it obviously dries super fast. Best with 2 coats. 

3. Blue Jade - Barry M

I recently swatched and reviewed this in a post of 3 new Barry M polishes. Check out that post, here, for more details. Almost a darker version of the Jeans On polish on this list, a dark cool tone grey-blue. 

4. Matcha - Barry M

Just like Blue Jade you can find more details about this polish in the post, here. A dark, green khaki/olive colour rather than an acutal matcha colour. 

*5. Natalie - Ard As Nails

 (discontinued)

This is an honorery mention for this year because it is no longer available to buy, but I didn't want to leave it off my list. Not only does this polish have the greatest name ever ;) it is a perfect autumn colour. A firey bronze/copper duo tone, that reminds me a lot of autumn leaves and bonfires. I brought this 2 years ago on black Friday and it was definitely worth the purchase. Unfortunately this is now discontinued, but remains a solid favourite of mine this time of year.

I have a constant wishlist list of nail polishes I want to own, but nail polish brands that I love seem to release new polishes faster than I can afford to buy all the ones I want. 

This post is my current wishlist of polishes. 

Starting the list is my single most wanted nail polish. That is Moo's Hearts by Moo Moo Signatures. I have never tried any Moo Moo Signatures polishes but I have been following the company on Instagram for so long..... and when I saw this online and read the name I instantly feel head-over-heels with this polish. 

This is the 2nd love of my life (after my husband), this is my dog-baby, her name is Moo. So I obviously ADORE anything with the name Moo in it or to do with Boston Terriers//Cows. So I almost melted when I saw a nail polish named Moo's Heart. I literally NEED this polish!!

I have been doing a lot of swatching recently, so when I saw that Barry M had released a peel-off base coat I thought it might come in handy for peeling off between swatches. I have never owned or even used a peel off base coat before, the reason: I CAN'T GET NAIL POLISH TO NOT PEEL OFF! Seriously, I swear I have one of the world's only set of nail polish repellent nails! Nail polish will completely peel off (whole) after 1-2 of wearing, I don't mind this so much because I like to change my nail colour a lot, but it is super annoying when I spend hours doing a beautiful design only to have the whole thing peel straight off after 24 hours.... and I have tried every long lasting base/top combo, buffing the nail down to create roughness to cling to, using acetone to get off oils.... everything. 

Anyway, back to the Peel It! base coat, I tried this expecting some fun peel porn, give it a go a few times to try it out and then it would probably go on my polish shelf and sit there for the rest of time. Then something AMAZING happened...... my nail polish stayed on!! I mean stayed on for almost 4 days without a single peel or even a chip (It would have lasted longer but I peeled it off because I want to change my nail polish colour)! I'm still in shock. I have now found my favourite base coat of all time, my holy grail. 

Now I suspect this is probably not going to be the case for most people, as I'm pretty sure that most people don't have stupid nails that rebel against nail products, but I do recommend it to anyone who struggles with their nail polish peeling off whole (I even had a bath in those few days and it didn't peel). 

Pros:

Cons:

• Not the best for 'peel porn', on my nails it didn't peel off in one satisfying piece, rather lots of smaller pieces. 
• Polish struggled to peel off right at the tip of my nail.
• Not the fastest drying base coat if you are in a rush

Final thoughts:

If you are in the market for a cheap peel of base coat, and you don't mind that it isn't going to be as good as more expensive ones on the market, then it is a good purchase. If you are an avid user of peel off base coats and need the satisfaction of a single, one piece, peel off, then I would look at other popular brands. If you are like me and have never experienced using a peel off base coat, then for only £2.99, if nothing else it's fun to sit and peel off and you never know you might have some crazy magical moment with it, like I did. 

I am beyond glad I brought this base coat, I am going to stock up and don't think I will be using any other base coat any time soon.
