I recently got sent a few stamping plates to try from Beauty Big Bang, and I've fallen instantly in love. This plate is BBBXL-001 and it is a perfect plate for summer, it's giving me so many vacation feelings! The plate has 14 designs on it, a mix between fruit and tropical themed.

Things I love about this plate...

The quality is great, the plate has a plastic backing and the designs pick up and stamp perfectly.

The designs are unique and fun.

It is a relatively cheap plate (not the cheapest, but nowhere near the cost of some brands).

The designs are a perfect size (in my opinion), they are bigger than my nail so would fix well on longer nails too, but they're not too big that I lose a tone of the designs because I have short nails.

The packaging!! I am obsessed with the cardboard sleeves om the XL Beauty Big Bangs plates. They are adorable.

A lot of the plate designs work great for reverse stamping.

Designs using this plate...

Beauty Big Bang do smaller plates as well as XL plates like this one. They currently had 10 different XL plates and I must own them all!! I can't wait to try more of them.

I own quite a few Moyou London plates now. I mostly own the regular size plates, with 18 designs, because I keep my nails quite short. But a couple of months ago I decided I wanted to try out one of Moyou's XL plates. I decided to buy Scandi 07, because I thought the designs would look good even if I would only fit a section of the design on my nail. 

The Scandi collection is my favourite collection from Moyou London, and this plate is no exception, the designs on it are stunning. Detailed and stylised. The plate has some designs that are made up of straighter lines, in intricate patterns, and some that are more 'flowy' and 'swirly' designs.

The regular size equivalent to this plate is Scandi 06, which has a majority of similar designs, and unlike a lot of the XL vs regular plates the small one doesn't have only smaller sizes, the designs are cropped. So you get roughly the same outcome on the nail regardless of what size you buy. The reason I prefer the XL in this case is because I get more choice in the positioning of the design, I decide what parts are cropped out.

Some of the designs on this plate are great for reverse stamping, but I don't usually do a lot of reverse stamping with this plate. And although the designs are all meant to be full nail, there are a few that have sections that can be taken out and used without the rest of the design around it (like the last photo below).

My latest nail polish collection: Four Spring, is out now and so I wanted to post swatches and a bit more information about each of the polishes.

With this collection I wanted to create some creme polishes, because I hadn't made any until now. I made these shades based of the kind of colours I love to wear on my nails during spring.

So without further ado...

Blowing Bubbles

Sky blues are a classic spring go-to shade for me, and so I knew I wanted to create one for this collection. This name is inspired by a really silly old YouTube video of mine from almost 11 years ago, of my brother singing about blowing bubbles while in the bath (it's probably the most pointless video I've ever posted on YouTube, and I've posted a lot of complete nonsense: there are 4 parts, but this is one of them https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uRVETwixxdo, I warn you that you'll never get back the few seconds you waste of your life watching this stupidity).

Mama Likes It Taupe

This is a taupe-nude shade, this was originally a custom shade that I made for my Mum for Christmas. I feel in love with the shade and decided to make it a part of this collection. The name is based on the fact that my Mum is obsessed with taupe shade nail polishes.

Margarita Pool

This is a pastel spring green creme that is perfect for the spring and summer months. I think this is a also a great colour for some beautiful spring nail art designs. The name is based on a scene from the tv show The Last Man On Earth, where Tandy (one of my fish's namesakes) is laying in a paddling pool full of margarita.

Apricot Smoothie

This is my favourite of the four, it's a peachy-yellow shade. I love this colour and I wanted to create it because I didn't own anything close to it. I love peach polishes but I don't own very many and I wanted a new peachy shade to wear this spring. The name is based on the fact that when I was pouring the first batch into bottle it looked like a smoothie that I wanted to drink (obviously I didn't haha)
